Can You Take the Heat? Test Yourself at the Westwood Chile Fest
If you would like to explore the unique cultures found right here in your community, check out the Westwood Chile Fest on Saturday, September 8th. This festival is a one-day event in Westwood that celebrates the Hispanic-centric cultures which compose 80% of this Denver neighborhood. With a strong focus on authentic food and the arts, this free festival offers an ideal way to sample Hispanic living within the comfort of your own hometown.
The Westwood Chile Fest brings diverse communities together with local food, art, music, and dance. Featuring stunning views of downtown and the Rocky Mountains, it is no surprise that this event has become one of the most unique community celebrations in Denver, and has long been a Westwood favorite. This year the Dia y Noche (Day and Night) theme will look to turn up the heat at night with local food trucks from Morrison Road's own Kitchen Network Commissary and live Mexican bands.
Free and open to the public, this celebratory event takes place along the Morrison Road Corridor, an area rich with makers, entrepreneurs, and artisans. Activities will include mural painting, a pepper-eating contest, carnival games, dancing, and more. Local Westwood businesses will be present, as will plenty of vendors and an on-site farmers market. You won’t want to miss this incredible event!
We know you love your home at Apex 5510 Apartments in Boulder, Colorado, but it’s important to stay active and involved in your community. Attending this event is the perfect chance for you to journey outside your comfort zone to meet new people and seek new opportunities.
