Meet a Denver Artists Who Makes Trippy Designs You Have to See to Believe
In search of good snow, Ippy Farnam found her home in Colorado 20 years ago. Ever since, skiing, art, music and travel have formed the Denver artist’s path and style. See a collection of her work and meet the artist at a very special event this Saturday, December 8th at Boulder Arts and Crafts Gallery.
Ippy is a northwest Denver multimedia artist who currently creates with acrylic paints, glass mosaics, batik and clay. Influenced by Matisse, Hundertwasser, Gaudi and Klimt, her lifelong love of color is eminent in her art. Traces of African color combinations and fabric work are also a permanent part of her work. She hopes her work evokes a smile, a giggle, a conversation, a happy memory or a healing experience through her use of color and subject.
Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery will host Ippy’s meet and greet on December 8th. The gallery is one of the oldest artist cooperatives in the United States, founded in 1971. Boulder Arts & Crafts Gallery represents hundreds of artists who create fine art and contemporary American crafts, from Colorado, the Rocky Mountain region and throughout the United States.
Gather with friends and family and learn more about this inspiring local artist! Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. This kid-friendly event is free to attend.
